What is Babylon? 

We are a private, members-only social club for consenting adults who enjoy an open-minded lifestyle. We provide a safe, respectful, and private environment for meeting like-minded people. 

Where are we? 

We are located close to South Shields town centre. Car parking is readily available (check parking restrictions and charges) and public transport links are just a step away.  There are numerous bed and breakfasts and hotels a short walk from the club if you fancy a weekend away. 

Do I have to participate in any activities? 

Absolutely not. Participation is always voluntary, and there is never any pressure. Many members come simply to socialise, dance, and enjoy the atmosphere. 

What is the age requirement? 

You must be 21 years or older. 

Is the Club open to singles? 

Policies vary depending on the event. Some nights are couples-only, while others welcome select singles. Check our event calendar for details. 

How is privacy protected? 

We have a strict no photography, no recording policy. Member information is never shared, and what happens inside the Club stays inside the Club. 

Do I need to be a member to attend? 

Yes. Membership helps ensure a safe and respectful environment.   

What should I wear? 

Dress to impress. Many events have themes or dress codes. Nudity is permitted only in designated areas. 

How do I meet people at the Club? 

Our atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Socialising areas are available for conversation, and themed events often include games or ice-breakers. 

Is alcohol served? 

Yes. We have a fully licensed bar serving a variety of drinks and snacks.  

 What about safety and health? 

Consent is mandatory, and safe sex practices are strongly encouraged. Condoms and sanitising products are always available. You are ultimately responsible for your own health, safety and well-being.  

 Are drugs allowed? 

No. Illegal substances are strictly prohibited. Anyone found to be using illegal substances will have their membership revoked and asked to leave the premises immediately.  

What happens if someone makes me uncomfortable? 

Notify a staff member or security immediately. We take reports seriously, and anyone violating consent or our rules will be removed. 

How do I become a member? 

Submit a membership application, agree to our Terms & Conditions, provide valid ID, and pay the applicable membership fee. Approval is at management’s discretion.
